Dozens of Digital Marketing Learnings Available Through New Initiative

Media investment firm GroupM is hiring more than 90 digital marketing trainees.

The roles will be divided between Manchester and London and the allocation of numbers will depend on how many applications are received at the two centers. The recruitment drive is part of a broader investment by the company in apprenticeships.

GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, has partnered with EdTech startup Multiverse to recruit trainees for its first ever Digital Academy program allowing participants to specialize in programmatic, social, search digital marketing. and electronic commerce.

The GroupM office has an office on Hardman Street, Manchester and, although Multiverse is based in London, it increasingly offers internships in Manchester and across the UK.

The evaluation days will take place in mid-July, with all positions open to people without a university degree.

The Digital Academy offers best-in-class training, with specialized classes and personalized coaching. During the 15-month program, trainees will master topics ranging from the principles of digital marketing to the basics of coding. Specifically, their first six weeks will focus entirely on training, bringing them up to speed on how digital works, their specialist areas, and practices on specific platforms, including Google and Facebook.

With three of the top five global media agencies and $ 63 billion in annual media spend, GroupM trainees will have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading brands at the heart of the media and advertising industry. .

The Digital Academy will also allow GroupM to continue providing crucial skills to clients. Digital is a key area for the company, last month it produced its forecast for digital advertising and forecast 33% growth in 2021.

The training will be delivered by a combination of specialists from GroupM, Multiverse, and some of the key digital marketing platforms.
