SRINAGAR, JULY 10: Mission Youth Executive Director Dr. Shahid Choudhary reviewed the modalities of the Digital Self-Employment Training Program to be launched for J&K youth, allowing them to access business opportunities while working from home .
Mission Youth strives to train 500 youth in digital self-employment training over the next six months and link them to business opportunities with stakeholder organizations. The Affiliate Managing Director gave a detailed presentation on the general outlines of the online course and program content.
Under the proposed program, groups of 25 young people will be trained in digital marketing and provided links with business partners. Trained youth who participate in the program will receive financial incentives based on the number of businesses. Current partners with the program agency include IRCTC, Flipkart, Amazon, HDFC, and SBI, among others.
Upon completion of training, affiliates will be linked to various platforms. Social media influencers will be registered with the affiliate program and each affiliate is identified through a unique tracking ID. Affiliates are paid when the sale is made and after the end of the trip. It will provide opportunities in banking, hotels, tourism, housing, infrastructure, education and other sectors.
The program will help young people harness the power of social media and drive sales. Peer influence will build trust and an authentic connection with the brand, especially with tourism, arts and crafts in Jammu and Kashmir. The program aims to build an affiliate network in every remote J&K town on the analogy of various successful models. Creating income opportunities for Tier 2, Tier 3 and Village youth is the primary focus of the Mission Youth initiative.
The initiative will also provide opportunities for the promotion of local brands and provide new opportunities in unexplored areas. It will also help tap the local talent pool.
